The White and the Rye, flavors two it is you we depend

To make us eat, all our salad right to the very end.

So crunch Croutons crunch, we will eat on til we’re bursting

The White and the Rye, we will eat til the salad’s gone!

You can use any flavor bread you like but I had some pumpernickel on hand and I had to make something fit with my song.

Preheat oven to 300°. Slice bread into thick slices. Combine 1/4 cup olive with with your choice of seasonings. I used 1/2 tsp garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon onion powder. Brush both sides of bread, then stack them and cube them. Spread them out on a cookie sheet and toast in the oven for 45 minutes. Cool completely and store covered.
