Mallow in Da Middle

This post is all about the creamy filling in the middle of my boxed Hy Vee Devil’s Food Cake mix.  If you love Hostess cupcakes and their creamy middles, then here is a very easy recipe:

Marshmallow Creme Filling

2 tsp HOT water

1/4 tsp salt

1 -7 oz jar Kraft marshmallow creme

1/2 c shortening( 8 tbsp in you are using Crisco bars)

1/3 c sifted powdered sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla

Dissolve salt in the water and set aside to cool.  Whip creme, shortening, sugar and vanilla til fluffy.  Add the salted water and whip well.
