2 Tablespoons cream cheese softened
2 thick slices french bread
2 Tablespoons strawberry jam
1 Tablespoon milk
Assemble sandwich by spreading cream cheese on both slices of bread. Spread jam on cheese, layer sliced strawberries on top and put halves together. Beat egg and milk in a flat plate or bowl. Lay sandwich in egg mixture to soak up and after a few seconds or so, turn over to other side. Meanwhile, melt about 1 Tbsp butter in a pan. When butter is foamy, add sandwich and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Serve with powdered sugar, syrup, or strawberries that have been macerated in a little sugar.
